This presentation will examine through case studies, how therapists and dietitians can successfully work as a team with clients with multiple diagnoses. Objectives of the Presentation: Recognize connections between eating disorder symptoms and behaviors and co-occurring trauma and mental health symptoms. Identify the benefits and goals of a collaborative therapist/dietitian treatment team. Formulate and implement integrated treatment plan with therapist, dietitian and client in processing and exposure therapies. Examine specific successes, challenges, and lessons through case studies of clients with co-occurring disorders, such as: identifying whether it’s a fear food or a trauma trigger, co-facilitating individual and family sessions, supporting processing, and reinforcing coping skills.
