  • If living through COVID-19 has taught us anything, it is that we must be mentally and emotionally strong to function through times of crisis, immense stress, uncertainty, and fear of the future. Couple this with the continuous human rights stressors and self-resiliency, and reaching one’s full potential is compromised. So how can we equip ourselves and our clients with the tools to persevere through hard times like these?

The goal of this workshop is to introduce a tool that helps reduce anxiety, impulsivity, trauma, and secondary trauma. In this experiential skill development session, participants learn Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), commonly called Tapping. It’s called Tapping because you tap on Acupuncture Meridian Points on your face and upper body. This evidence-based self-modulating tool reduces stress and anxiety; it treats trauma and other negative emotions without re-traumatization and is FREE to self-administer anytime and anywhere.

    Learning Objectives

    • Explain how stress affects cognition and critical thinking
    • Describe How Tapping works
    • Implement Functional Tapping (FT) for stress, anxiety, and grounding.
