Emergency dispatchers are a critical link in the CIT program. The first day of this training is Mental Health First Aid, a national curriculum regarding mental health signs, symptoms and suicide. The second day of training will provide an overview of the history of CIT and use of CIT in Hamilton County, provide job-specific skills building for emergency communications including recognizing a mental health crisis and the appropriate questions to ask and relay to the responding CIT officer.
