Workforce Inclusion Committee
“No matter who we are or what we look like or what we may believe, it is both possible and, more importantly, it becomes powerful to come together in common purpose and common effort.” – Oprah Winfrey
About this committee
At Mental Health America of Northern Kentucky and Southwest Ohio, we believe that educating yourself and talking about diversity and inclusion with your coworkers is a vital step towards creating equity in the workplace. A Workforce Inclusion Committee meets every month to discuss staff/participant concerns, feedback on committee-related issues.
Mission Statement: The Workforce Inclusion Committee is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable, inclusive, accessible and trauma-informed workplace where all individuals feel safe, valued, and empowered. We work to cultivate a courageous culture of belonging by advocating for fair and transparent policies, promoting continuous education, and encouraging open, respectful dialogue across all levels of the organization.
Vision Statement: We envision a workplace where diversity is celebrated, equity is a foundational practice, inclusion is intentional, and every person feels a genuine sense of belonging. As a trauma-informed agency, we recognize the impact of lived experiences and prioritize safety, trust, and empowerment in all we do. Through collaboration, courage, accountability, compassion, and personal growth, we aim to remove barriers, elevate underrepresented voices, and lead with empathy and integrity.
