  • February 2024 Learning Cohort: Increasing Accessible and Competent Healthcare for LGBTQIA+ Individuals

LGBTQIA+ populations of all ages disproportionately experience more instances of mental health and substance use disorders, suicidality, and poor wellbeing outcomes compared to their heterosexual and cisgender peers. This three-part experience includes a basic training on sexual orientation and gender identity, access to up to 50 hours of 1:1 or group consultation with a licensed LGBTQIA+ clinician, and ongoing supplemental mini-trainings as needed to address special populations/topics. Additional support for this community will also be offered, including Teen Mental Health First Aid (tMHFA) and access to pro-bono counseling.

Registration is free through a grant from Interact for Health, with an intended audience of professionals who work or reside in the following counties:

    • Ohio: Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, Highland, Warren
    • Kentucky: Boone, Bracken, Campbell, Gallatin, Grant, Kenton, Pendleton

Professionals from other counties are invited to attend as well. Click here to learn more and register.
